Nice park, great place for a day out by yourself or with company. Exercise stations around the river to do at your own pace, walking/jogging paths and a good mile to ride your bike around. Picnic areas with grills but u need to reserve for a very small fee
Stadium seating starts on ground level which doesn't make sense! Lower level seats in this case are the worse ones to be in. Also the sound system sounds like the old NY subway system (for the young readers- it sounds horrible!) The park itself is very nice.
We live in Rahway and always enjoyed the Rahway River park. They are two loops. A smaller on (3/4 mile) around the basin and a bigger one (1,2 miles) around the green. There are several places to play baseball and a grill sections with benches. All year open restrooms. Water fountains and doggie waterbowls in the summer. Sadly in the last year we stoped going so much because Union county had to had is will and put a none necessary stadium right in the middle. The increase on noises and trash keep us and the wildlife pretty much out. 2 years ago we had all sorts of visiting the park, now we are down to ducks and squirrels. Another sad example that politicians push their agenda with out thinking of the impact of their surrounding . If you go very early to the park its still enjoyable
This park is kid friendly and safe. There is a nice walk/bike path ,pool,football field, baseball field.,bathrooms and a pond to walk around.
Really nice place to walk around and relax. There is plenty of parking and seating. There is a huge lake that has a walking path around it and plenty of green lawn.
