Worst ER ever. No matter how much pain you have. They will give you pain relief and send you home to follow up with a doctor.
I came to this hospital with a deep laceration cut between my fingers. It cost 250 dollar for the emergency room which I paid without owing a penny. I didn’t see the doctor. I saw two physician ( one who stitches my finger up very poorly ) they asked about a certain shot which I said I might have had the shot last year. They mentioned the shot but said it was not needed since I didn’t cut my hand on a plate outside. Nonetheless I asked them for antibiotic and I asked her for something else explaining the problem I was having. She went ahead and gave me the prescription. I went to cvs and was only given one medication so I assumed that she didn’t write the extra prescription and this was my antibiotic. I took my medication yet my stitches started swelling up and eventually started to have pus. My hand became heavy and unbearable to hold. My heart would raise extremely fast. On the day I was told to come back for a check up- I was told that I needed to pay another 250 which I refused and told them that they had done a poor job and I needed them to be held accountable for it. I was turned away and I went to a different doctor in the morning has it was late. I couldn’t sleep because I was in such pain, I had to hold my hand up on two pillows to keep it elevated. In the morning I went to a different doctor ( care station ) 100 dollars to see the doctor, 150 for a shot on my ass, and 80 dollars worth of medication. I explained this to the hospital who decided to bill me 577 dollars for exactly what- I have no idea. For 577- I should have seen a real doctor and not his psychic. After a week- then the the doctor I went to after the hospital visit had to take the stitches- i screamed and I cried because the stitches was sunk into the cut so deep that I contemplated to leave the stitches in at one point because I couldn’t bare the pain. Then my hand was forced to heal on its own because the doctor said he could not put stitches back in. The doctor said he was appalled that a hospital did the stitching on my hand because of how poorly the work was done but he was more out of words when I told him that I was not given antibiotic medication. It’s not the cost - it’s how poor the job was done with any regards when it came to my check up. I could never go back to this hospital. I suffered more pain after going there.
I had a psychological issue and was transferred to this hospital. All the nurses and staff are extremely apathetic and barely can fake any compassion for you. Once they found out I didn't have insurance as I am a small business owner they seemed very annoyed. I do not see how this affects the nursing or staff as they have a fixed salary but nonetheless I could tell I would get horrible treatment. I was trying to communicate with the nurses and they regarded me very sarcastically and as if I was scum even though I am educated and own a business but was just having a tough time. They really agitated my mental state and the one male nurse with weird ears said I should kill myself!! Horrible soul sucking place and do not understand how people can be such awful human beings. I would bet corrections officers at a jail would treat people with more dignity and respect than this soulless excuse for a hospital. Very sad!
Useless!
My review is mostly for the Imaging Center as I haven't been to the ER there for about 10 years. I came in for an MRI and every single person I had interaction with was so nice and incredible! A far cry from my last experience. When I checked in for my appointment I was told there would be a little bit of a wait because they had some emergencies. I expected this mainly because they are a hospital and assume emergency patients have preference over appointments. The woman at the desk offered me a refreshment voucher to get a drink and snack from the cafeteria (so nice!) When I got back to the waiting area I was called in within minutes. The techs that performed the MRI were also super nice and explained the process to me and even let me pick my own music! I've had several MRIs over the last few years and this was by far my best experience ever. The MRI machine was also new and the opening was much larger than ones I've been in. I could move my arms! I didn't feel trapped like I normally do. Also really happy that I didn't need to lay on a hard table. It was cushioned and they made it even more comfortable by giving me a pillow and putting a curved wedge under my legs.
They don’t try to diagnose or asses your condition or take any images.
